Naan bread

From Asia. Nice side dish of curries and stews

For 16 naan breads

  • 250 g plain flour

  • 2 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon dried yeast

  • 110-130 ml milk

  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • nigella seeds, poppy seeds or sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  1. Mix dried yeast with warm water (10ml) and let it rest 10 min

  2. Mix dried ingredients

  3. Add liquid ingredients

  4. Knead for 10 min

  5. Let it rest for 1h covered with cling film in a warm place

  6. Roll out in oval shapes of 2 mm, add seeds roll out, prick with a fork

  7. Put in the oven preheated at 200C on grill

  8. Cook for 1-2 min (remove when it gets brown)

  9. Brush with butter before eating

The dough can stay a few days in a cling film in the fridge.
